Anytime Fitness member success video. |
For a former division one basketball player, 5-foot-9-inch, 257-pound Jermar Waite was not spending much time on the court. After waking up in the middle of the night with chest pain, Waite visited his doctor. Following several tests, his doctor asked Waite a life-changing question: “Do you love your child?”
Waite quickly realized the immediate need for a complete health overhaul if he wanted to live to see his son grow up. |
|
Waite signed up for a membership at Anytime Fitness, the world’s largest co-ed fitness chain, in Columbia, S.C. The family atmosphere and motivation from his family helped Waite regain a healthy weight and positive attitude toward fitness. Now at 169 pounds, Waite has worked to lower his cholesterol level by 200 points and no longer experiences the effects of hypertension or sleep apnea.
“I definitely believe that exercise is medicine,” said Waite. “Exercise changed my life.”
