Exercise is Medicine on Campus Active U Challenge

Have you heard? Exercise is Medicine on Campus is looking for the next physical activity champion!

Since launching the Exercise is Medicine on Campus action guide in August, 2010, over 600 copies have been downloaded and colleges and universities across the country are working to make their campus communities healthy and fit.

The Exercise is Medicine on Campus Active U Challenge invites all colleges and universities to let us know how they are getting their campus active.  Submissions will be judged on creativity, participation and use of the Exercise is Medicine principle that physical activity is an integral part of personal health care.  Winners will recieve a trip for two to the 2011 World Congress where they will share their program with the conference!  For full contest rules and submission guidelines, visit the Exercise is Medicine on Campus Active U Challenge page.

Exercise is Medicine and Agita Mundo are pleased to announce that April 6th 2011 is World Physical Activty Day.

This year's theme is "Together for an Active and Happy Life!" Exercise is Medicine and Agita Mundo are encouraging partners around the world to participate by planning a physical activity event for their community.

If you are unable to plan an event, be a part of the Virtual Walking Parade.  At 10am on April 6th, send a message to your friends, family and colleagues about World Physical Activity Day through email, Facebook, Twitter or any means you like.  Messages are encouraged to include the importance of physical activty and that only 30 minutes a day can make a siginificant improvement in health and wellness.  For more information visit the Agita Mundo homepage.
