Be in Fitness Enviroment. Have fitness information around your house, such as calendars of athletic events, brochures about the benefits of exercise or passes to a local gym. Read a fitness blog or magazine. Keep gym shoes, a towel, and water bottles handy at work, at home and in the car.
Be Encouraged. It's hard to do it alone. Ask a trusted friend or family member to hold you accountable. Exercise is a choice. Your friends and family have an interest in keeping you healthy and active. They will keep you motivated and challenged so you can see - and, more importantly, feel - the benefits of exercise.
Do it together. Fitness is contagious. Have your fitness buddy sign up for the Exercise is Medicine Month™ email for the Public series too! It's easier to keep an appointment for exercise if you know someone is waiting for you. Don't let them or yourself down. Be there. |
