Every November, men around the world grow mustaches and become Mo Bros to raise money for the Movember Foundation.
Current evidence shows that regular physical activity is safe and has a positive effect on the physical and psychological well-being of men diagnosed with prostate cancer. Putting their “money where their Mo’ is” in support of the importance for physical activity, Movember and Prostate Cancer Canada has funded TrueNTH Lifestyle Management (LM), a national wellness initiative that aims to improve the quality of life for men with prostate cancer through physical activity, nutrition, and stress-reduction resources and programming online (lifestyle.truenth.ca) and in the community.
TrueNTH LM helps facilitate wellness programs throughout Canada, offering weekly physical activity and yoga classes designed specifically to address the health and treatment related concerns for men living with prostate cancer. Men can also access a comprehensive website with tools, resources, and home-based programming for help with staying active, reducing stress, and maintaining a proper diet.
All Prostate Cancer Survivors are Eligible
All men who have been previously diagnosed with prostate cancer regardless of when they were diagnosed or what treatment they received can join the TrueNTH LM website or join a community program. Each person will undergo an initial health screening to ensure physical activity is safe for them. The online and initial community programs are free for all survivors.
