EIM Open Research Forum at the ACSM Annual Meeting and 8th World Congress- Denver, Colorado
Exercise is Medicine® (EIM) would like to announce the inaugural EIM Open Research Forum to be held at the ACSM Annual Meeting in Denver, Colorado. The goal of the Forum is to generate innovative research ideas and develop a community of investigators that will further advance the mission of EIM in promoting physical activity through healthcare systems.
The Forum will provide a brief overview of the EIM initiative, the current state of EIM-related research, and areas of need for future investigation. These initial presentations will set the stage for open discussion between attendees on engaging in EIM-related research. The Forum is open to all students, clinicians, and faculty who are currently conducting, or looking to get involved, with research efforts related to integrating physical activity into healthcare settings, educating healthcare professionals, and connecting patients to community programs and credentialed exercise professionals. The goal is to assist attendees in their efforts to conduct research as part of graduate-level thesis and/or dissertation projects, pilot studies, and larger collaborations leading to major research projects in the future.
The EIM Open Research Forum is co-sponsored by the EIM Global Research & Collaborating Center as part of its mission to support collaborative research efforts in both the United States and abroad. For more information and to access research tools and resources, please visit the EIM Global Research & Collaborating website.
The Research Forum will be held on Thursday, June 1st from 1-3pm in the Granie of the Hyatt Regency Denver. For more information about the EIM Research Forum, please contact Mark Stoutenberg at [email protected].
