As an essential part of established community resources, locations that are designated as EIM Places are part of a community network that can provide patients with access to safe and convenient environments to fill their exercise prescriptions. EIM Places are viewed as points-of-care by healthcare providers and their clinical care teams, who provided the original referral.
The designation of an EIM Place depends on the type of location in question, which can include but is not limited to:
- Non-profit and for-profit fitness facilities that are membership-based
- Clinical facilities
- Shared spaces like library multipurpose rooms, church facilities, schools or other appropriate spaces
For more information about having your location become a designated EIM Place, contact the U.S. EIM Representative (located in the footer of the page) for more information.
