- EIM-OC 2021 Renewal & Recognition
We know it’s been nothing short of challenging to continue your EIM On Campus programming this year with all of the challenges created by COVID. Many of us have had to adapt to virtual programming, get creative with implementation and even temporarily pause some services. In light of these obstacles, the EIM-OC Committee has made some changes to this year’s upcoming Renewal and Recognition Program. During this 60-minute session, EIM-OC Committee Chairs, Carrie Davidson, Ed.D, ACSM EP-C, RYT 500 and Neil Peterson, R.N. share the updates and application process for the upcoming Renewal and Recognition Program.
- Student Perspectives and Advisor's Reactions to COVID-19
EIM On Campus Committee student representatives, Zainab Shirazi and Thomas Kramer, “pass the baton” to the new student representatives for 2020-21, Kayla Bautista and Matthew Cederman. The four student reps shared their perspectives on being involved with EIM-OC, as well as how their schools have overcome challenges and adapted to the COVID-19 pandemic. EIM-OC advisors Carrie Davidson, Ed.D., ACSM EP-C, and Carena Winters, Ph.D., M.P.H., FACSM, ACSM-CEP, also shared their perspectives on how institutions can adapt programs in light of the pandemic.
- EIM-OC 2020 Virtual Recognition Ceremony
Although the 67th ACSM Annual Meeting was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the EIM On Campus Committee gathered virtually to recognize the 167 colleges and universities who qualified for recognition for their 2019 efforts.
- EIM-OC Recognition Program 2020
Recognition provides an opportunity for Exercise is Medicine On Campus (EIM-OC) programs to be acknowledged for their efforts towards building a healthy academic environment and be distinguished at the EIM-OC Recognition Ceremony at the ACSM Annual Meeting. Last year, a record-breaking 139 schools were recognized, and the EIM-OC Committee hopes to see even more programs be recognized this year! EIM-OC Committee Chair, Renee Jeffreys Heil, Ph.D., discusses key dates, changes to this year's application and answers questions in this webinar.
- How to Run a 5k on Your Campus
Coordinating a 5k walk/run can be challenging! Dr. Jeff Wight provided in-depth guidance for EIM On Campus programs interested in developing a formal 5K run/walk on campus. Gain insight on the "big topics" to consider/explore before committing to this agenda and the "details" that make races great. Dr. Wight directs a homecoming 5K for Jacksonville University and works closely with 1st Place Sports, a top race-timing company in Jacksonville, Florida.
- EIM-OC 2.0- A Roundtable Discussion of the Past, Present and Future
The EIM On Campus (EIM-OC) program celebrated its 10th anniversary this year! During this 60-minute session, EIM-OC Committee Chair, Renee Jeffreys Heil, Ph.D.; Carena Winters, Ph.D., M.P.H. from Jacksonville University; EIM Founder, Bob Sallis, M.D.; and Robyn Stuhr, VP of EIM, came together to discuss the history, current state and next generation of EIM-OC. The second half included a discussion where panelists answered questions.

This webinar provides practical ideas and tips to effectively establish and maintain campus support for your EIM-OC program.
- EIM-OC Recognition: Going for Gold!
Exercise is Medicine® On Campus launched its recognition program in 2014 to honor universities/colleges for their efforts to make physical activity assessment and promotion a standard of care on campus. Campuses earn gold, silver or bronze based on their EIM-OC activities. EIM-OC Committee Chair Renee Jeffreys Heil, Ph.D., reviews the 2019 recognition process, including key dates and the new application, in this webinar.
